Here we are at Day 12 of the Slice of Life Challenge. We’re almost halfway through, friends!
I’m not much of a Facebooker anymore. I used to be on there often, commenting and posting and what-not. Now, I’m there to do two things: 1) lurk around a little bit, and 2) look back over at my memories from years past.
It was while looking over my memories that I saw a post from seven years ago. It’s almost like I had sat down to write a letter to me today. It resonates, resounds, holds true and truer:

It’s interesting that your older post is still so applicable for you today. I am curious about your career shift. I hope it continues to bring you joy.
“I have internalized how critical school leadership is to the health of a school and community.” Amen to that. It’s been the biggest factor throughout my career. It’s wild how words from the past can resurface and, though otherwise forgotten, still speak today’s truth.
Your older/younger self offers such wisdom. Love this time capsule, message-in-a-bottle slice.
This sounds like a letter that runs parallel to career choices I’ve made. How resonate! Thank you for sharing! You’d be such a blessing to any school team!
