Ever have one of those days? One of those days where you want to say something smart, pithy, or clever, but nothing’s coming?
#AllTheTime
Today, I think, is one of those days. I’ve tried three or four different starts to a post #TryAgainSilly, but nothing seems to be catching on for me. #SurpriseSurprise
It makes sense to me, though. This is usually the time in the Challenge where I have to #DigDeep and work a lot harder to find something worth saying, and then say it in a way that makes sense. #EasierSaidThanDone
All of which is to say, sometimes a Slice comes easy, and sometimes it’s #HardFought. As for me, my time today might be well spent prowling around for ideas to use in the coming days. #SureImNotAlone
Thanks to Erika and Darin, who inspired me to incorporate #Hashtags into my post!
Thanks, as always, for the Two Writing Teachers March Slice of Life Story Challenge. Check ’em out!

Wonderful ♥️
It’s fun to read your piece, then skim and only read the hashtags. They relay do add!
and you have to say “hashtag” out loud
I love how these hashtags do what they do so we’ll when written as commentary inside the mind of the author. They kind of tease the narrator in the struggle to produce and publish when it seems like there is little to say into the void.
Clever in spite of yourself. Hashtags add a layer of levity to your slice.
Love the hashtag idea. I am not well versed in using them, and my husband tries to convince me I should start!
You always come up with something interesting, clever, and humorous. This checks off all three. I am at that point where I am stretching for ideas.
I was just thinking about how this is the time of March that it gets harder and harder for me to slice …. But you did it, and well!
You are not alone!! I really had to eeeeeek one out today. And it’s a good idea (that I’m going to have to steal) to look to other slicers for some inspiration. Very cute and funny piece 🙂
This is where I am currently. I’m struggling to figure out what my Slice will be about. I hate to admit it but like clockwork it’s mid-March & like always I’m stumped. The way you use hashtags remind me of Darin and his Slices.
You are spot on here. Some days it’s so easy, and other days… nothing. Cute slice. #Here’s to tomorrow!
Hashtags to the rescue! I totally feel you on starting multiple slices and nothing clicks. You dug deep and delivered, my friend!
You are not alone! Love the use of your hashtags. 🙂
Lainie, I can completely relate to those days when writing feels like a struggle. Your use of hashtags humorously captures that challenge, making your post both clever and engaging. #KeepGoing
#micdrop!
