When I began student teaching, my mentor asked me to write down what I believed about education. I can’t remember how many hours I spent crafting that statement, but I do know that it took a whole lot of time, energy and heart.
You’d think that after fourteen years of teaching (and almost nine years of parenthood) my philosophy and ideals would have shifted. Strangely enough, not really.
Of course I keep up with the latest skills and trends in education. But my core beliefs stand firm. And I’ve got some pretty strong opinions. You can read them here.
