Floating the Boat

Here I am, eyeball-deep in school and life and whatnot.

What’s keeping me happy, sane, and grounded?

Here’s what I’ve got…

Two adorable doggos
These sweet, sweet girlies

Smiling couple
This great guy (aren’t we the cutest?)

Sunrise on a street with trees
Mornings like these, made even better by the company of a friend

A woman lifting a barbell
The chance to pick things up and put things down again

A sample web design for writing
A sneak preview of the resource page I’m designing. Squee!

Baked challah bread
A challah that finally, finally, FINALLY turned out exactly right…

Sticky note with kind words from a student
I keep this up on the board behind me. Sometimes I need a reminder!

…and you? What joys, big and small, carry YOU along today? I’d love to hear about them!

  1. You have great joys in your life. Joy is found in so many simple things. For me it is three furry faces. It is the birds at the feeder. The morning glory climbing up the pole. And of course, Kathy.

  2. Lainie, you are right! You both are cute. And those weights you lifted. Wow. I love this sweet post about what joys carry you along. My great joys today are sitting at my daughter’s house with a stack of good books while she finishes her working day and also walking around her beautiful Minneapolis neighborhood.

  3. Cuteness and blessing overload! When you have dogs, love, and bread that turns out just right, the apples in the bag are just a bonus. The riches are found in the simple pleasures, and you are indeed rich in what matters.

  4. Oh my gosh…I enjoyed your beautiful photos showing what keeps you grounded but was stunned when I reached the last photo…good for you! I work out with weights but not like that! 🙂
